Little Booger...

Once Jackson started sitting up by himself Kyle lowered the crib mattress for safety reasons. Over the weekend we entered his room and found this--all smiles, like he conquered something huge! Now the mattress is lowered ALL the way down!

My Baker!

Cooper has ALWAYS loved to help me in the kitchen, no matter what I am cooking at the moment. One of his favorite things to do is help out when DOUGH is involved. He doesn't care what kind of dough--cookie dough, yeast roll dough, cinnamon roll dough, shortcake dough, etc. Since peaches are in season, today we were making a peach pie so it was pie dough! This, actually, is probably his favorite kind of dough! He likes to get his little rolling pin out and roll his own crust. We then cover his with cinnamon, sugar, and butter and bake it! He has also gotten so good at cutting in the shortening and today he learned how to pinch the sides of the crust along the rim. Here is our finished product! Oh, Cooper thought we should write a letter on the top and he picked the letter "A". So, if you look closely, you will see it!

Baby stage...gone...:(

Well, it happened. About a week ago Jackson started crawling. And, as usual, I am late posting things! He is now ALL OVER the house. His favorite thing to do is to find Briggs, crawl up to him, grab a handful of fur, and stick it in his mouth! Funny thing is, Briggs could care less and just lays there and takes it! Jackson also likes to head straight for the trash can--yuck (something his big brother Cooper did as well when he started crawling). Jackson has learned his name and will now turn to acknowledge you when called. We are now working on the word NO. This might take a while....!

Basically, this means he is long and lean--just like his Daddy. I still think he looks chunky and chubby! :)
